Sept 2013 Costa Concordia Ship Salvage Parbuckling

The wrecked Costa Concordia cruise ship is expected to be righted in mid-September 2013, more than 18 months after it ran aground off the coast of Giglio, killing 32 people.
The biggest ship salvage ever, removing the 114,000-ton vessel is a massive engineering feat that has been in the planning, fabrication and installation phase for months. Details of the parbuckling project, which is the process of rotating the ship to an upright position, can be found here:
